Yeah but she's almost getting typecast into the crazy but brilliant broad - even in Beast
Maybe she does the hysterics really well. 🤷‍♂️

Morena has a serious bod but she doesn't occupy much for me ...the daughter is well cast and acted.
How I spent my first week Dec 2025 ....bingeing Homeland

No one does cry face like Clare Danes!

$72B. Like so much of the modern American perversion of capitalism, that's truly obscene.
Seems the deal is taking another possible twist, if 82 billion wasn't enough, how about 108 billion.

I don't care either way, but if I had to side, I would prefer Netflix over Paramount and the bunch of leeches backing them. Netflix seems to be genuinely interested in making content as they have turned out some good stuff, and are building studios and things related to delivering new experiences. The other guys just seem to be in it for the money.

Believe me when I saw Netflix is just in it for the money. The shooting schedule on Netflix series is borderline abusive to crew and talent.

This little nugget is the key to the whole thing:

As noted, it takes some doing to make Netflix the good guys (or, rather, the less worse guys), but this gang of despotic criminals and oligarchs somehow manages it. It's no coincidence that bottomless cash has suddenly appeared to back a company valued generously at 1/4 of the cash they've somehow magicked up.

The Trumpiness of it all more or less guarantees this will go to Paramount, and by extension become yet another Trump mouthpiece via the Ellisons, MBS, and Trump's direct family. Not to mention Trump saying directly that he would have a hand in the deal and expressing concerns about the sale to Netflix. In a past life, all of this would be a major scandal, but on the Trump scale, it barely cracks the top 10.

There's a reason the dollar values have gotten so extreme: if Paramount can pull this off, they (and by extension, Trump) will have direct control over a huge percentage of the media consumed by Americans. There are a variety of extremely wealthy nations who would love nothing more than to do away with American democracy as the most direct path to both solidifying ultimate power at home as well as locking in favourable deals with the US.

I mean, it's not like the false dichotomy between the Democrats and Republicans has been any form of real democracy since Reagan allowed governments to be bought by the highest bidder, but this could shunt the runaway train down a track that is impossible to come back from. And many Americans have been so blinded by wedge-issue politics that they're not just apathetic to this stuff, they're actively cheering it.
