I'm seeing VSTROM 1000 for less than the 650 version which is shocking to me...but as @GreyGhost pointed out to me, it's probably because the insurance is way more for the 1000 versus the 650.

@oioioi has a nice VSTROM 1000 but I feel it's too large for me physically.

AI doesn't understand how roads nor bikes work. It got the boots but the rider is in deep crap.

The 650 is more popular for various reasons, better balanced, lighter, and the gen 1 1000 had some gremlins that dont exist for the 650

Or the wheels are actually going 100 kph and this rider is pulling off a huge slide. I doubt it is possible to get out of the situation in that pic without crashing.

There really isn't a big difference in size between the two, first generation especially.

Used Dl1000 bikes are always cheaper than DL650s.

I think the main reason is the 650 has more riders chasing it than the 1000, more demand means higher prices. And maybe fuel economy - the 560 gets about 50% better fuel economy and that converts to 50% range advantage.

The pricing changes on the latest 1050, it seems to hold its value better.
