A 2016 Yamaha R3 $2500. Wish this was around at this price when I got my license

I bought my kid his first bike for the road presence of the dual headlights and fat tires
50cc but at least he could sort of keep up on the city streets.
Good memories for me.
I much prefer a bike with twin beams on all the time. Burgman 650 had the best lighting for late night rides. Terrific road presence
and weather protection.
I think some of the new sport bikes lose some viz with tiny headlights even if they are crazy bright.

Not really. My ST1100 has a little over 200K km on it and runs great. At 130K km an ST1300 is nicely broken in.
Then my ST is ancient at 29 years
. I plan on riding it for a few more years because it's the most comfortable and reliable bike I've ever owned.
2000 Moto Guzzi Quota 1100ES. 11,000km, with hard bags, needs tires. $3500.
A bit of an oddball, no doubt, but that's part of the charm.
