The "Official" Watch Thread and all Things Horological

somewhere around here is an hour glass for timing eggs , three minutes of sand , flip it for six minutes . Was my Grans, they had no electricity for years and watches were very expensive. @mimico , want some Luddite comaprisons? I went to public school breifly in Etobicoke for a couple years , they were talking about making maple syrup , which was every spring at Grans place and that farmers used to use horses, which we still did on occassion. It was pretty comical. Barney and Dolly , the percheron horse team had an incredible disposition.
 
txs for the compliments, a lovely example of the original Blancpain style before it got sold to swatch in the Jean Claude Biver era.

The Leman series still exists , but nothing like the older designs.
