The Bad Riders of Ontario Thread

Unrelated to the bad riding; but can I just say how much I -hate- Barrie's 'new' paint scheme? Yes, I get it's inspired by the European norms, and it likely is high viz, but good God almighty, that's some kind of ugly...

I conceptually like them as they are visible instead of hiding. I don't know why they picked the gross green instead of the typical hi-vis yellow.

Guelph police are looking for a no plate runner. "Come get me" sweater completes the look.

They arrested him. He wrapped the bike to try to appear different but multiple people turned him in.

"On Friday a 20-year-old Guelph man was arrested for dangerous driving, flight from police, stunt driving and Highway Traffic Act charges. His licence was immediately suspended for 30 days and his motorcycle – portions of which have since been wrapped in red in an apparent attempt to avoid detection – was seized for 14 days. He will appear in court July 25."

Edmonton but damn. Lots of dumb to go around. Rider apparently survived.

Object fixation?
Didn't look like he even tried to turn.

Whoops. At least they walked away. High speed at 4am with a passenger is not a good combination.

The female was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The operator of the motorcycle, a man in his 40s from Wasaga Beach, was not injured.

The motorcycle driver was subsequently charged with dangerous operation, driving while suspended, and driving without insurance.

Deploying the outriggers is a sure sign of suckage. I am trying so hard to make my kids leave their feet on the pedals. Once you take your feet off in a hairy situation, a crash is inevitable.
I made an earlier comment about the Isle of Man and foot in the boot. When you put your foot down while in motion the geometry wants to make your foot swivel 180 degrees. It doesn't usually work out well.

To protect the innocent the young offenders act may have to raise the age limit to 50 years old. SF

Apparently some people didn't get the memo.

One leg deployed by a skilled rider with the other leg firmly planted on the bike is a much different scenario than trying to stand on both legs on the ground while moving at speed.

" It doesn't usually work out well "

I find that part of the statement to be misinformed, at best. "Usually" means a preponderance, or more often than not. I've used my leg/foot out in corners on my supermoto bikes on probably half of the corners +/-, skimming the sole on the asphalt on half of those, so thousands of times, and not once did I ever have my foot rotate or feel like it was going to rotate on me. Maybe I have the touch. As always, YRMV.

On a dirt bike you can catch a root with your toes and end up kicking yourself in the back of your head.
Instant flexibility, way better than yoga.

And there is this.
