yes friend was in the group, i believe it was a 'biker boyz' ride.

the usual mixed bag of people just wanting to enjoy the day and on the other side; the no plate, no license, no insurance kill joys.

Was going to say by the looks of the list of charges would place a strong guess on the usual squid/biker boyz/wheelie boys with no plates and insurance.

%1 usually have their paperwork/documents in order...in a family member or close friends name :)

Police looking for a hit and run rider. Took out a cyclist in a bike lane. While they are calling it a motorcycle, the scale seems off for the style of bike. My money is on ebike. Thanks wynnebag.

Could be one of those cheapo gas scooters too. Just riding it like an ebike with no plate.

Video has been released. Far more detail in video than the blurry picture. It appears to have an exhaust. No sound in released video to confirm. Front and rear dashcam proved very useful in this instance.

Guess who the cyclists lawyer is? Blabbing on about road violence. This didn't look like it was intentional violence to me. Looks to me like a drunk or otherwise mentally inept person on a powered vehicle running over a bicycle with a blinking light that they didn't even see.

Judging from the limited interaction I've had with people that ride those things my assessment is that none of them are the sharpest spoons in the drawer.

TBH most of the flashing LED blinkers I’ve seen are very visible a quarter mile away in sunlight.

I see someone on one of these sportbike-shaped e-bikes every now and then in my morning commute
Rides in the live lanes, gets up to 60kph or so
Has even made a fake plate that looks legit from far

Likelihood of having insurance on it?

Rider charged. Police are sticking with motorcycle. He won 50k in the lotto a couple years ago and was a tow truck driver. Cyclist broke some vertebrae. Hope rider had fun, this is going to cost him a literal fortune.

Never heard a tow truck driver referred to as a roadside assistance specialist before. Glad they got him! Much better outcome than this case in Las Vegas a few days ago

I don't care if he was 17. After conviction, hit him with a car. Leave him to die. His buddy too. Even better if you make the driver hit his buddy before he meets his own fate.

ALPR got a rider.

50-year-old Jose Ramos of Oshawa ON, has been charged with:

· Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration-80 plus

· Operation while Prohibited

· Operation while Prohibited under the Criminal Code

· Failure to comply with Release Order

The accused had their vehicle impounded for 45 days.

It happened in Brampton a few years ago. The perp had a higher psycho score than Bernardo.

Going fast, weaving, crashing, tickets. "I heard them before I saw them" so I guess loud pipes save lives? Only one rider mentioned in the post so did the other two get away? Only one had a visible plate. No reason at all to blow that corner with the speed they had.
