I wonder if insurance covers you if your prick kids steal your car and wreck it? 9 & 11 yo kids stole a parents car, did burnouts, ran from the cops, crashed it and ran from the cops again. No charges as they are less than 12.

(LAURENTIAN VALLEY TWP, ON) - An 11-year-old driver and 9-year-old passenger were located by police and turned over to their parents after a single motor vehicle collision in the Township of Laurentian Valley.
At approximately 2:50 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026, a member of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on foot patrol in west end Pembroke and heard a vehicle doing burnouts nearby. The information was broadcast to officers in the area, and the vehicle was located on Jean Avenue. When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, it accelerated away. Officers did not pursue the vehicle.
Shortly after, officers found that the vehicle had left the road and crashed into a cornfield at the intersection of Jean Avenue and TV Tower Road. The vehicle was abandoned and the OPP's Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT) were engaged to search for the occupants. The two youth were located by police approximately one hour later. No serious injuries were sustained, and the damaged vehicle was towed from the scene.
The youths were turned over to their parents by police. It was determined that the vehicle had been taken from a parent without their knowledge or consent. The parents and youths were made aware that charges would not be pursued due to the youths being below the age of criminal responsibility."
