Yup, that's pretty damned dangerous. I think that section was one way even before the addition of the bike lane, so it's not like people just kept doing what they had been previously.

Posting video of yourself involved in a 'joint venture' - LoL.

Plus the poor other riders whose plates are visible. TPS could easily visit these folks, charge with S172 and claim a victory in the media against the last two mob-stunt news stories.

Source: Recent precedence for 'joint venture' (Mallory vs Werkmann Estate), and a few years back a kid speeding a BMW car got charged after the fact due to his youtube video (Vladimir Rigenco).

Rather unsurprisingly, there are a rather large number of "runner plates" or no plates at all.

driver slowed to make sure the way was clear..... when you are a baller you got important things to do and important places to be. Red lights can't slow your roll

Put a post up in the middle?

Put a post up in the middle?

They tried that at Boulevard club because the rich people were being inconvenienced by the bike path. They put up so many concrete/steel posts that there were constant crashes and bikes with trailers couldn't get through. After about a year, they removed them again.

I like the flexible white plastic posts. They are a good visual barrier, but don't cause crashes.

the plastic posts are the best. I've seen at least 2 cars completely flatten them on Adalaide. wrecked undercarriage and ripped off bumpers. best.

The bike lanes are at least 6ft wide. A cyclists trailer would have to be over 3ft wide to hit a post in the middle. They use them along the Martin Goodman trail to good effect. Crashers would only have themselves to blame.

The cam biker isn't doing anything illegal herself, and it probably hasn't occurred to her that she participating in illegal, dangerous, and obnoxious behaviour. To her it's probably like "cool family of bikers watching out for each other, having fun, making a public show of their bond" or some stupid lovey dovey crap.

Kids. Whatever age they happen to be, they're kids.

They had them in a couple of spots, I believe BC was one of them, for over 10 years when I rode the Martin Goodman Trail to work. I think it was more people driving down the path and parking on the Boulevard, but the posts did slow riders down a little so that cars could move out to turn. I gave it up after the Streetcar right-of-way along Front St., the overhaul to lanes on Bay & Yonge Streets, and a TTC bus almost squishing into the Plexiglas train tunnel, made it a dangerous and unforgiving route. They really need to think through and co operate between the different modes of transportation, not fight one another.

Interesting thought.

She is participating, and publicizing those who are flouting the law though.

Might just be wanted to identify others who were involved.
