At first I thought it was because the SUV changed lanes and was hit from behind in the lane beside it's original; after watching the video a few times, the silver (beige) car smacked it full on, before the lane change was completed.

York Regional Police Const. Andy Pattenden said an investigation by the officer's road sergeant, which occurs after each crash, found the officer forgot to put his vehicle in park.

Although Const. Pattenden said he is sure the motorist did not receive a traffic ticket and there were no injuries or visible damage, he said he's unaware if there will be an insurance claim.

This one appears to be classic txt while driving. Was likely looking down, traffic in other lanes moving well. Didn't notice traffic stopped right in front. Boom!!!

According to the radio announcement, the driver's name was Josh Donaldson and the black SUV he "drove in" is called a Grand Slam and was occupied by five runners? Amazing how quickly news gets out these days!

I was thinking he saw he was about to get slammed and started to make a move to get out of the way.

I had a couple today... but lost them because the card was too small and the files got over written on the trip.

1) On 403 almost at the curve for the QEW near the Ford plant. Traffic is moving well, then a quick stop... guy slams on the brakes, veers left from left lane and hits the barrier. He didn't hit the car in front, so that car kept moving. There was zero space to stop there, but the guy was okay... just did a number on his car.

2) 30 minutes later, 403 to QEW Burlington to Hamilton, a white Mercedes SUV had 5 PVC pipes strapped to the roof and the strapping came loose. They bounced off a couple cars until the Mercedes pulled over.... everyone drove around the pipes and kept going.

This is the sort of behaviour that I will never understand. You do something wrong and then punish the person who calls you on it?
