Hit the 507 from the north end early enough that there were not too many cagers for some ahem "spirited" riding.

Seems someone was a bit too spirited.
OPP loading up a sports bike at the south end of the 507 watched by a number of riders over by the gas bar.

Not sure where the rider was nabbed but they were loading him on the shoulder of the E-W main highway.

Decent pavement on 507 but took it a bit easier than normal after not much sleep - last night. Still was fun - makes me want to organize a PA ride for me and a couple others.

5 degrees - cold tent, borrowed sleeping bag.
Still we had fun on a Quebec and Ontario loop circa 1400 k

Did NOT bargain on 5 degrees tho. :confused1:

everytime i have been to the 507 this season i have seen multiple opp either entering or exiting it.

I've been on there quite a bit and haven't seen any cops.

On a weekend I have seen OPP. Also heard a few people tell me they have seen OPP on the weekends.

And rightfully so I say, as I have seen some riders ride like idiots in my opinion on weekends via passing cars on blind hills and curves. Passing within feet, if not inches, of these cars and trucks which often have trailers attached. The cars do not know where or what the bikes are about to do. It is cottage country on the weekends.

I know one of the cops who patrols the 507 area ..

Residents have asked the local detachment to step up patrols, due to the high number of motorcycles flying through the area.

I went over there for a ride Saturday. Hit a blistering, mind altering 99 kph on the way up it. :o No triple digits. Had 2 cars pass me! Only saw 7 cars/trucks in total. It is not just the motorcycles that scoooot on that HWY!

It gets better: on the return trip south I was enjoying the scenery, minding my own business. Saw approx. 5 vehicles (cars and motorcycles) during the complete ride down. Riding way to quick at a heart pounding :lmao: 94 kph (basically near the speed limit), not a vehicle in sight. Then wammo, a partridge decides to not look both ways before it crosses the hwy and flies into my throttle hand knuckles. It gets stuck in my armpit. I let go of the throttle and the bird is gone. Upon stopping to inspect the damage with no bird in sight now, I reason that I must have scared the crap out of the bird because there was poop everywhere: on my jacket, on the tank, on the inside of the windshield and on the tach instrumentation. And a feather in my helmet!

Is it bad luck to remove the feather? I guess that is how the saying, "...got a feather in my hat" got started.

All of the above is true. 507 can be done at double digits only.:)

507 hater rite here.
I have no idea why people ride that road, it's not even that twisty and you have to be doing loose you bike speeds to have any fun on it.

Shhhh ... Everyone knows the 507 is the only road worth riding in Ontario. Every group ride must use it as a destination, therefore concentrating all the squids (and cops) in one place that's someplace other than where I am!

507 sucks, Go do Chemin Douplessis (from Mont Trembland to Saint Donnate - freshly paved) and make sure to put on your big boy underwear. I was just there Yesterday, good times.

Yes that's what I meant to say :)
I'm just upset and jealous that I don't get to ride that fantastic asphalt every weekend.
If I lived down there I would post up a 507 group ride every chance I had.
