So it's that time again....winter pasttimes?

The latest. I can see a lot of room for improvement but I could only get there by trying.

That last holster that I posted is currently on its way to an actor friend in Puyallup, WA, who happens to have a prop 1861 Navy (non-shooting replica of the same gun as mine). So I went ahead and made another holster and will need to make a belt to match it, at some point. This is another cross-draw. Because I had to make it through 6 layers of leather the usual double-cap rivets weren't long enough. As a result I had to learn how to use traditional rivets and burrs (washers). I also added a hammer thong to this one.

Getting ready for next year's skydive season. Need to learn how to pack in under 20 min with my new deployment system and rig.
Have to take my Cookie helmet apart and drill holes in it (yup drill) for the go pro camera mount.
Play with the Ural in the snow some.
A bit of time in DR or Cuba. Hmmm Trumpism... Maybe not.

Any time of year is a good time for urban exploring. Together with the Squeeze, our son and his BF we took in this cool mid-century modern house. Once inside you realize for such a large house it's not very big. Hack off the indoor pool, the garage and decks and it's probably smaller than new cookie cutter McMansion.

Not my video obviously. We were tramping through a foot of snow.

Do helmets really do anything in skydiving?

Or is it more just a mental thing that ‘I have a helmet so I’ll be fine if **** hits the fan!’ Type of situation…
The door frame on exit, others in freefall, a location for your audible altitude alert device and of course a place to put cool stickers.
Oh, and a place to mount cameras.

Very cool thanks for that! Didn’t even consider any of those as a risk.

All I thought of … ‘does it help the SPLAT?’

I was thinking the same thing.

I rode until December and usually I'm riding by March so Winter is short. Just enough time to do toy/house maintenance and some home projects/upgrades and within no time it's 2-wheel season.

Considering its location, near civilization, the abandonment might be part of a demolition procedure based on land value.

Nice rig........I like black. It is slimming and goes with anything :giggle:
No that is not a Glock it is a practice dummy.

I've got a few sheets of Kydex and have been thinking about holsters and sheaths. I need a way to heat it evenly though. The default seems to be large toaster oven.

In a past life I did vacuum forming. IR radiant works well. You could probably rig something up with a couple little buddy heaters or some AC radiant heaters may work. The typical linear radiant heater would not be ideal but may be enough for a holster.

I like that.......do you do cowboy shoots?
Nope. I've just had the pistol for a while and finally decided that it needed a holster.
I use this down time to re-do a batch or two of arrows and get ready for sprint 3D shoots.View attachment 77240View attachment 77241
The arrows that you see in that quiver of mine are some cheap carbon fibre that I bought on Amazon. I bught a dozen. Half of them were fletched wrong (key flight 180 degrees off from where it should be). I reported the issue and they sent out 6 replacements. All 6 were fletched wrong. Instead of dealing with the idiots again I bought a fletching rig and replaced them all, myself, with feathers. First time that I'd ever done it.
