It's alive !!!....well Walter Frey perhaps....and Argus Filch ...all incarnated...;)...interesting ....🍿
Not sure what kickapoo joy juice was fed to the critics but its a bit of a hot mess which might be due to the source material.

Stumbled on it ....good reviews...the kid is very good. 🍿
I'm surprised she's in the movie as afaik she's not old enough at 11 to even watch it as is rated R
But then there was Leon The Professional and Portman who was a similar age tho that was then.....
Heger is a fine actor at 11
Maybe they will let her watch it in a few years.

On a too warm tropical night.

"Honey Don't" (Netflix) - Starring Margaret Qualley as Honey, Chris Evans as the stereotypical self-serving Evangelical preacher, Aubrey Plaza as the records cop, and Charlie Day as the police detective who keeps hitting on Honey. Honey is a lesbian, so that just don't play. This is a weird little movie, but quite good. It flips the script a lot. It's a Film Noir but takes place in a small town, in the desert area near Bakersfield, California, so it's unrelentingly bright. Honey is the "hard boiled detective." See it but don't show it to the kids, unless they're old enough to drink.

Well I gave up last night but it sort of grew on me today as a goofy fun send up

Gave this a shot last night:

I fell asleep through part of it, not sure if I will finish it. The first 2 movies are some of my fav movies, this new one has the "new" method of telling stories, where there is a ton of activities happening, which take no effort in accomplishing something, effectively making it nonsense. Also too much exposition at the beginning, then drops you into the characters doing something which is suppose to be important, that "new" way again. Just show us! The leads Greta, I could almost give a pass as she's easy on the eyes, but acting is way off. Jared, meh.
Saving grace some cool motorcycle/light cycle stuff, with some interesting directing style around it.

I decided to give it a pass as soon as I saw Leto was in it. My feeling is that they needed someone to play a soulless AI, so the choice was obvious.

Wrapped up a few more movies

Pretty meh. Even with Ana De Armas

Revisited this one again, been a while, it's ok, people seem to like it more then average. Cole Hauser certainly is much differernt looking these days

Naturally followed by this. I find to be much more enjoyable, just fun, great cast, interesting visuals, not to heavy, but well told.
