Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

Watched Nomadland and The Amateur coming home on the plane. NL was a waste of time. TA helped me kill time. Can't give a strong recommendation for either

Watched original Blade Runner ...always love it. Not in 4k or HDR but the new TV helped a bit in the darker scenes. Forget which version this was ....was extended tho. Still my top movie tho The Expanse is better SciFi and a better format for long tales. Blade Runner could morph into that universe.
Was hoping for Blade Runner 2049 as a twin feature but on in pay for version and too lazy to fire up the 4k Blu Ray

Watched some of The Naked Gun 2025.

More for curiosity then anything.
It's bad, not even in a fun way. Liam is just miss cast here, it's hard to look past him being the guy from Taken, or any other tough guy role. Pam Anderson was a good choice though.

I would recommend giving "Soldier" starring Kurt Russell a watch. Be prepared to pause when they show Todd's military record on screen.

We lost a good one .... Redford gone

A productive life from very poor beginnings....
enjoyed this article

Out of Africa remains one of my fav films.

Love these unlikely true stories.

is way better than I expected and terrific cast.
True events.
I must find the book.

That was good...this is....smarmy ???
True story and Pacino in the lead....should be good but the reviews are marginal ....dunno  but Pacino has power and that's acknowledged by the reviews we'll see 🍿
