It's funny you mention that, because it was probably in the late 90's that I bought the detector

and at that time the "anti-VG2" was quite reliable at hiding the detector from the cops. About the only way the cops could tell I had a detector was if they could see me jamming on the brakes the moment they hit me with an instant-on zap
I wasn't sure if just the anti-VG2 system is still sufficient today or have the cops invented any new detection methods?
And, is a 15-20 year old radar detector useful at all, today? This thing had X,K,KA,radar, and anti-VG2 detection.. maybe more. Heck it cost nearly $400 at that time!!
