Radar detectors

Where are you going to put it on a bike, where it is not in plain sight and will still work?
You stick it to your windshield with suction cups and a piece of two sided velcro tape to the dash to stabilize it from vibration / shock / bumps. You want it in plain site so you can grab it and stick it in your coat. Cops can search the bike / car, but can't search your person without a warrant unless you are suspected of a crime.

I've never liked any of the light systems and I've used a couple of the sophisticated ones. You need to be able to differentiate the warning and I don't like moving my eyes to id the warning. I'm old school and like the audio warning via earphones or helmet speakers

I have a three LED system attached to the lip of my windshield. It's very bright even in the brightest of sunlight. No sound. And a toggle on /off switch near my throttle handle to prevent the popo from seeing it flash.

One thing I've noticed of late is the detector being set off by rear view park assist cameras in SUV's and mini vans. I guess they're using radar to gauge distance. This is a bonus as cop radar detector detectors will be going off left right and center rendering their rdd's useless.
