Over the pond in the UK ,were most of my family comes from, we have a store called Aldi. Its a discount grocery store it focuses on mainly cheep frozen crap food but does have some fresh and higher quality stuff. They also have an isle that sells seasonal stuff and will have a Focus of a particular thing everyweek once a week. Auto accessories, Baby stuff, toys and other random categories that don't really belong in a grocery store all at a significant discount. Anyway before x-mas it was Motorcycle stuff. $25 boots and jackets, gloves even some helmets. Most of it looked pretty ****** chines made crap that was worth the money you would pay for but my cousin sent me a pair of these as a gift!

Did they pay 3.50 ukpounds each?
You can get "motorcycle" socks (FOX Branded) at Canada's Motorcycle for about $10 a pair. Good item to top up your order to get to $50 and free shipping rather than paying the $8 for shipping if you're just under

No i think they were like 1 pound a set under the special.

Do we really need motorcycle specific socks?

I bought two pair of these for riding....

They really are tough and very good fit under knee armor and boots.

Two pair for touring....one to ride one to wash and dry then swap.

77% Merino Wool, 19% Nylon, 4% Lycra® Spandex

These are really good under tall boots and armor.

For the answer to "do we need specific socks"....well if you've tried to clump around in tall mcycle/off road boots the answer is a resounding yes.

We are touring for 24 days and I'll be in my boots and knewe/shin armor all 24 days....I do NOT want marginal socks to bunch up and wear. If you spend $$ on boots....get good socks.
I wear separate knee/shin armor not attached to the riding pants. Then I know it will stay in the place....the motocross guys have a lot of good choice.

Smart RIDERS know socks aren’t just an afterthought - they’re a piece of equipment. knocking off the above comment

These things are a bit of a bear to get on, they fit to size and do not stretch over time. Been great here in Aus. They are not all that warm tho as they are thin....but I prefer that.

Yup. The nike ones are padded in all the right places.

I bought a pair of motorcycle socks years ago. They made my feet sweat more, didn't breath well. . . I'm just fine with a pair of thin cotton sport socks. . . 8 pairs at walmart for less than some of these ones.

For touring you wear knewe/shin armor?
Why?
