Maybe it’s my east coast slang whenever I’m in the states that gets me friendly service with a smile, or maybe it’s that I’m not a stuck upPOS, and i always reach out in conversation with a friendly tone

One of the wife's cousins had the exact same experience in Chicago, cops literally escorting him and his wife out of the city...
I like the blue lights in Chicago. They provide an easy guide to the traveller as to whether they are someplace they shouldn't be. If cops see you in a blue light district at night, they will come in and escort you out.

I get treated well, even in places like Quebec (lol) with the accent. I talk and interact with everyone I meet in a respectful manner though and always have spacial awareness of people and things around me.
No the news was that they were vetting the National Guard for anyone with extreme links.
And if you think only democrats were allowed can you send a message to my nephew from MO that is there and tell him he is a Democrat now and not a Republican like he thinks he is.

Note that a number of the pardons were to people that'd already served their sentences. If I understand it correctly, by being pardoned they would no longer be a convicted felon and can now vote and own firearms.this is one I found, don’t know if it’s exhaustive

I don't know if the pardon exempts the perps from being sued in civil court as was O J Simpson. Some of the pardoned took millions from their victims.
A cousin was travelling from Winnipeg to TO via the states and stopped in some Michigan town for some shopping. When he walked into a store late in the afternoon the black lady at the counter called out "What are you whiteys doing here? The stores are closing in a half an hours and it isn't worth your life."
That's the thing.
There are some way out their Liberal people on here. But in general I believe that most on here that you have taken exception with over time would be middle spectrum if not small C like me.
I own my business. I pay way too much in taxes. Government gives way too much of the money away. Way too many people get stuff for free in this country. I am older than you by far. I grew up and learned my lessons as a dirt rural farmer kid with lots of christian and conservative values around me. But in the view of the MO crowd I am a libtard.
Doesn't mean than I shouldn't be careful with who I get my news from. Especially if I want to go sharing it around as valid.
Lots of bias in the world especially in media. Doesn't mean that there is a conspiracy at play at every corner.

And to be completely honest i have voted for all three major parties in Canada. Maybe Green Party will be my next choice
Media I don’t put much trust in any of them, when the report there opinions more than the news it’s seems to be a waste of air time
My friends and I are millennials. We are mostly software developers, doctors, and other health focused (aka. $$$) professionals. We paid for our own schooling, and competed with our peers for jobs and placements because the real world is competitive with near zero mercy. If any of you are friends with doctors and watched them go through school, you know they deserve to be paid every cent without taxes (but they still get taxed lol.)
I was okay with all of that. I'm not okay with them using our tax dollars, for example, to ******* pay for tuition when most people under 110~ IQ are going to **** themselves with some BA (or other lower cognitive required major), then go on Facebook and say "I CAN'T FIND A JOB, GIVE ME MORE FREE ****." Not knocking on successful folk with a BA btw!
But hey, I also understand it's a balance. Gotta give the ones who **** up some free **** or they echo chamber into what we've seen in the South: rage and chaos.
Oh boy. I got messed up by that system at the airport in Mexico City.
Bear in mind that the number of Spanish words that I knew at the time was a very close approximation of 0. Zip, zero, zilch. (It still isn't very good.)
I dutifully followed everyone else in the lineup into that station and observed that they pressed a button, a green light came on, and they walked thataway off to the right somewhere. There might have been an instructional sign somewhere with some words on it, but nothing that made any sense to me. Might as well not have been there.
Guess who pressed that button, and a red light came on.
The one and only non-Spanish-speaker in the entire airport, apparently.
I've done four. Sometimes it's because I really liked a candidate even though there was no chance of them winning. Other times I voted people out (Wynne). Then there is the strategic vote to get a party in or out.
The ideal vote is for the person that best reflects your values but if they don't get in there's nothing to reflect. Why can't they just make me God?

Not uncommon. Cops patrol dangerous neighborhoods everywhere, if youre wearing a ?, they will let you know. Decent folk who live in tough areas often do the same.

I stopped at an intersection once in downtown Detroit. Cop came rushing up with lights on, gets me to roll the window down. Tells me unless I want to get carjacking I better not stop at the signs for the next 4 blocks.
