If it's related to divorce, custody or payments. Don't listen to the lawyer. Work it out between you two otherwise you are ****ed in legal fees.

Only lawyers win during these disputes.
 
its all fun until somebody calls a lawyer, sadly 99% of the time needing family law help is because your not getting along and there will be no happy ending without legal council.
Use a lawyer or a paralegal if they are qualified for what you need, and pay attention to what they tell you.

I know of couple that realized the marriage was over and worked out all the details themselves. He agreed she was better with the kids and since she would have main control she should get the house. He could live with his brother and would still be around for the kids. All was good.

Then someone told her she should get a lawyer. Then he had to get a lawyer. Then they had to sell the house to pay the legal bills. All became bad.

I'm not sure of this pertains to your situation but if the issue is not adversarial make sure you don't end up with legal council that wants to find a tiny ember upon which to throw gasoline.
 
I have it all sorted out guys, no assets to divide, we took what was ours, no kids worry about. Just wanted to make sure my paper work was in order. We will both be going to file the paper work together today amicably and jointly. Still get along just can't be married. I think I got it easy in that aspect.
 
No scam just didn't work out and two people were actual adult enough not to f#$% the other one over about it. I submitted the paper work with her Friday afternoon and baring any paperwork issues or anything else unknown that will be that. I did have a few PM's and thank those people for their offers of assistance.
 
so who did you use Bradsma?...I need to get a prenup done and some advice before getting married next May...anyone else know of a good place to go to in the Milton area?
