I'm sure his replacement will be just as smarmy. There is zero effort to purge the corruption from LE in Canada. But who will coordinate the delivery of coffee and donuts to the terrorist protesters, then?

I heard that too, and most of the media questions. It`s all so predictable,.. duck, dodge and deflect. Hollywood couldn`t cast a greasier cop than Demkiw.TPS releases finding of OPP investigation into their *&^bag employees that had no issue lying on the stand.
First few minutes are Demkiw talking about how awesome Northrup was.
In shocking news "The OPP found no evidence that the constables lied or colluded to lie". We investigated ourselves, talked to as few people as possible and found nothing wrong.
Their similar stories that are in complete contradiction to video and facts were just a shared experience. OPP did not contact Omar Zameers lawyer to discuss any part of this "investigation". Demkiw is talking about how horrible it is that police had to suffer through this farce of oversight. It's clear that he needs to be fired.
Not the first time. Police presence has been huge for many years."Well that escalated quickly"
The chief demanded a conviction on the news. If they had succeeded, they would have sent an innocent father to prison. Now the president of the TPA is calling for a public apology from the judge for calling out lies that their corrupt investigation found no evidence of. At no point has reality ever entered the mind of Demkiw nor the TPA. The statements the cops made were completely unsupported by any evidence (and in fact were contrary to all available evidence) and yet were consistent with each other. Why wouldn't a truly independent and impartial party have been used for the "investigation"? A cop died. Every LE related organization in the country will do everything in their power to reinforce the blue line in that situation. We wasted a fortune on more useless paperwork and now they are using that to smear the judge that called them out on their BS? Give the judge a medal, fire the cops and everyone applauding this report.
They wouldn't care unless he was wearing blue. Five or ten years later he is exonerated and gets $10M from the taxpayers, not the blue team. The chief demanded a conviction on the news. If they had succeeded, they would have sent an innocent father to prison.
Apologize? Hell no! They should be up on perjury charges.Douggie is siding with the cops and telling the judge to apologize. F off you buffoon. Cops investigating cops and finding nothing wrong is appalling and needs to be stopped not encouraged.

‘Maybe the judge should apologize’: Ontario Premier Doug Ford weighs in on OPP probe that cleared Toronto cops of lying at trial
Premier Doug Ford says an Ontario judge who accused three Toronto cops of lying under oath owes them an apology after a report from the OPP cleared the officers of any wrongdoing.www.cp24.com
An interesting play would be for part of the justice system to charge the cops in the zameer case with perjury. The question is who and how? Prosecutors won't touch that case as cops will sandbag all their future cases. I call that a win as every cop that sandbags a case can then be fired as unfit for duty. I can't see a judge charging (and I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't legally allowed to do it retroactively). One more thing. Someone or any organization able to challenge the lastest OPP findings in a court of law?
With all the negative lately, how about a little positive? Police DID NOT charge the homewner.

I'm guessing that he's losing the conservative base, so needs to shore it up with more "law & order" announcements.
So on the same day, police are above the law to cater to liberal voters and feel free to shoot intruders many times to cater to cons?I'm guessing that he's losing the conservative base, so needs to shore it up with more "law & order" announcements.
Police being above the law doesn't necessarily cater to liberals/progressives, especially not in the current environment. That's more a conservative thing. So on the same day, police are above the law to cater to liberal voters and feel free to shoot intruders many times to cater to cons?
Many of the current liberals seem to be enamored by government knows best and will decide our fate. Questioning police actions is a step towards questioning the motivation and legality of politicians actions.Police being above the law doesn't necessarily cater to liberals/progressives, especially not in the current environment. That's more a conservative thing.
Where is Elliot Ness when you really need him?An interesting play would be for part of the justice system to charge the cops in the zameer case with perjury. The question is who and how? Maybe the law society or defense attorney association leads the charge? Still have the problem with prosecutors won't touch the case. Afaik, we have no mechanism for a truly private prosecution, we can privately charge but the crown is the sole prosecutorial authority.
Wow. He's talking like Trump. Trump lite
He's also using government (ie OUR) money to buy radio time, to tell us what a great job he's doing. Must be really feeling those two polls that showed his support is slipping.Wow. He talking like Trump. Trump lite
