When I was in high school, living in Montreal, we had a KFC a few minutes away by CB175 and I'd zip up there on the bike for the snack pack, 2 pieces of chicken, a few fries and some on that slurry coleslaw. About $1.30 or $1.40 in 1974 or '75 as I recall and a good excuse, like I needed one, for a ride. Moved and also moved on to other restaurants.
Was in Vancouver on business in 2010, staying at a hotel and wanted a quick meal and there was a KFC across the street. Went in and was searching this huge menu for same "snack pack" type thing and the teenager behind the counter asks if he can help. I explain what I'm looking for, he can't point it out and asks when I last ordered it and I tell him 1975. He just gives me this stunned look like I'm from outer space, I select something else and leave. It was awful stuff, total garbage.
