Has the city lost it's mind...

October 26th...wonder when they will reveal who is running for Elections this time around.

Based on the voting habits of my colleagues, friends and family - I wont be surprised if Olivia wins again.

Then cry again after next year's property tax hike.
When anyone, even a dog, yes a dog, can run, you end up with a splintered vote. 102 last time around. People don't have time to research that many candidates and all too often the incumbent wins because their name sounds familiar.

How about upping the entry fee to $10,000. Right now it's a joke. A few bucks on the line, get three votes and you put it on your resume that you ran for mayor.

City of Toronto has their four (and maybe now five) snow melters running full time. At 40-60M BTU each, that's 1600L/hr of diesel times four or five. Take that carbon footprint. Once the snow is melted, they dump the water in the sewer. It seems like it would be cheaper and more environmentally friendly to just dump the snow straight in the lake.
