Has the city lost it's mind...

At the risk of sounding like old stock Canadian , my family were immigrants , two hundred and fifty yrs ago, I guess we blended in . Growing up we had a large community near us of newer Italians , they opened businesses and built or bought homes , threw great picnics . When I moved it was near an Islamic community, they kept largely to themselves but were very inclusive when you wanted to support thier businesses, restaurants and barber shops , plumbers and my accountant. Then came the wave of recent immigrants that seem to need to game every system be it insurance scams , trucking industries , hiring under the table staff , extortion from thier own community. I don’t know how you fix it , except tightening the control on some of these countries of origin .

A friend worked with an immigrant who told him "Canadians are stupid. You line up to pay taxes I *****) ***** was a list of ways he scammed systems.

In many if not most third world countries, it's dog eat dog and people are not as susceptible to scams and ripoffs. That comes with immigration. Not leaving a cent on the table also comes with greedy shareholders. They may be more destructive to our standard of living.

Toronto proposes 20km of new bike lanes, skirting Ford veto - TorontoToday.ca https://share.google/OpJ4fHhASNBvQwi8Z
Are they still going ahead with the $158 Million patch in the bike / rail path to link to Liberty Village?

$158 Million to a few cycling individuals a few hours a day a few months a year when the $158 million could give 158 FAMILIES a home 24 hours a day, 365 days a year forever.

I know the area. The patch could be done with a can of paint and a few signs.

Thumbs up for this guy. Councillors didn't know how to react when confronted with reality.

To add to Toronto's stupidity, snow removal has taken a downturn. Are we surprised? Side streets get like a single lane down a street plowed. With snow piles a couple of feet from the curb. I thought it was just maybe my street or my area, but nope it's in other parts of TO. I think last year they started to use pickup trucks to plow side streets.

Tooooorrrroooonntttooooo. Best shi#ty in the world.

Hopefully people remember how the last few years have been when it's time to vote.

Just so you know, they do bike lanes before sidewalks.

And in case drivers don't know, you're not supposed to park more than 12" from the curb. If there's a 3 foot snow bank and you leave two feet access for the passenger you're parked in the middle of the travel lane.

And please don't park within 50 feet of my driveway either way. The plow has to swerve around you and I end up having to shovel eight feet of road to get out. Yeah, my problem.

October 26th...wonder when they will reveal who is running for Elections this time around.

Based on the voting habits of my colleagues, friends and family - I wont be surprised if Olivia wins again.

Then cry again after next year's property tax hike.

Matlow will run. He's worse imo. Chow probably runs. She has a good chance of winning. Does Tory run again? He'd have a decent chance, people have forgotten his wandering penis.

I really don't get how Tory should be allowed to run. That's F'd up.

Why wouldn't he be allowed to run? If we prohibited politicians that committed crimes/fraud/had sexual encounters with subordinates, we'd have none left.
There's gotta been some policy about personal relations in the workplace, and ethics. Doesn't set a good precedence if he's trying to run the city and is morally and ethically compromised.

We already have none, these are just the scum applying for the job.

That is what happens when you bring in economic migrants - they do not want to assimilate they just want to make more $$

I thought Brad Bradford was throwing his hat in the ring. Seems like a better choice than the above three mentioned combined.

whomever throws in for the job just needs to actually realize how deep they have dug the hole they are in and just stop with the social pandering .

thats the problem with socialism , you eventually run out of other peoples money

They can start by firing the board of directors and ceo of sankofka square. What a pile of crap. It should just be another property under parks that you can book for an event. That's probably an easy half million saved with zero downside (other than to the grifters that had those positions).
