How do you all recommend expanding the handlebar real estate? The Scrambler has very little real estate but I would like to add a GPS to it, but there's just no space for it on the handlebar.

I've got the lowered bar now so the angles are a bit shallower, but I think I can add one of those bars that connects the two sides similar to this:

Oh wow...thanks! I didn't even know this type of RAM mounting existed!

I assume I'd just have to make sure the bolt on the RAM unit matches the hole on the handlebar mount.,..

I have 2 of them, one each for the now gone dirt bike and also gone KTM1090. I may use them on my GasGas700.

There are also RAM mounts for the brake and clutch covers. For some reason I don’t want to add stress to those bolts.
I have a hollow post in the triple clamp of if I take off the plastic cover and use this position for a RAM mount. Just in case that is available to you.

Evotech performance also makes a mount. I don't remember which Ducati Scrambler you had but this is a low profile option. They make it for all sorts of mounting systems, not just quadlock but even Garmin and Tomtom. So pick your 'locking' method. You'll generally want it to be removable.

The evotech stuff that @Aens linked is what I had on my Ducati. Fits really well.

They have lots of mounts for different systems.

Thanks! I think I saw that on your bike previously at a burger night.

I think the hardest part will be finding a suitable mounting for a larger (6-8”) screen.

The one I have in my pic barely works with my iPhone (not the larger size).

Which screen? Evotech makes specific mounts for the Chiggee stuff and other GPS's

Nah you have lots of room. RAM mounts can do 90 degrees. So it lets you do stuff like this:


You can get all kinds of extensions. I replaced this one with another one which was shorter.
Or you position the RAM clamp further away from centre, over closer to the grip, and then extend it over to centre but just above the bars etc. I'm sure you know
Also see if your Carplay has a cradle for RAM.

Haven’t selected one yet. On the hunt now through FBMP.

I’m focusing on a 7” screen to ‘mirror’ my phone while riding.

If anyone here is selling please let me know.

You’ll ditch the ram phone mount if you put a CarPlay screen on your bars. No additional real estate needed.

Looking on FBMP now and there are tons of options from $50-300.

I don’t need anything fancy.

If you don't mind me asking, why GPS and phone both? Google maps offline mode works pretty good these days. If you download the map locally, you don't need cell service for directions or routing. This works great as long as the path is recognized as a road.

Out of curiosity, what do you already have mounted to the bit of bar between the triple-clamp mounts that's stopping you from using the mount that comes with most AA/ACP screens? Asking because if that can be relocated, it would be a lot cleaner to have the screen low and not blocking your clocks...

Mine is mounted so it's just below the clocks in my eye-line, but higher up so it's easy to reach, like so:



This is a Lamtto unit, and is just mounted with the cheap bar clamp mount it came with...
