GTAM Holiday Dinner - Sat, Jan 10th, 2026 (post moto show)

I am not going to the show tomorrow as I have some other stuff going on, but there's a possibility of me being in Etobicoke later in the afternoon. If that's the case, I'll try to join (if there's space), or just come say hi to everyone. Thanks for organizing @Evoex :)
 
Sorry guys wrench got tossed into the plans (is it a full moon?) and I haven’t left yet for Oakville.

And from my inner food critic:

Dinner was off to a good start. I asked for a "Coke and lime", and the waiter asked "Is Pepsi ok?" I answered "Yeah, that's actually better" and joked "But you know what would be even better is if you had Dr Pepper". He caught me off guard by saying "Oh, we have that too." Awesome!

The bread came out lightly toasted, and the butter was whipped. No dealing with cold lumps and waiting for it to melt.

And the peppercorn steak came out properly encrusted all around with cracked black peppercorns. Nice and sharp as opposed to a lot of places that serve their "peppercorn" steaks as just a plain steak with a peppery sauce. A perfect medium rare, as requested. I didn't take a pic, but that's what the internet is for!
