Hello all,

I'm just trying to source some insurance companies that will insure 1L bikes. It seems most insurance companies I've called have band the supersport class 1000cc bikes. Please post your stats and what company you're with. I've tried statefarm, however, they want $2500/y for a 2012 suzuki gsxr1000. I'm not sure if that's a good deal or not considering i was paying 1100/y for my 2003 r6.

I'm not so sure all the liter bike owners on this forum will want to post that they don't pay a thing, as they run their bikes sans insurance.

.

39 07 gsxr 1000. SF 1800 with fire theft and animal protection. I. Found that there really is only 2 insurance company's for liter bikes, State Farm and TD! TD was cheaper for me but refused to insure the bike because it's a race replica and apparently they couldn't replace it with the same bike if it got smashed. BS anyway so I'm with SF

$1300 for just liability on my 2000 929RR with TD, Have a admin suspension for stunt driving on my record as well as a 15 over ticket.

tried TD, they wanted a lot more than SF. Cant believe how much these crooks want. Looks like I'll just have to stick with a 600.

Thx.

If it happens u hit or swerve to avoid a deer, skunk, geese and whatever else that moves that's not human you're covered! It was bundled in with fire and theft! I'm sure that's why I pay more than people half my age and half the riding experience.

08 CBR 1k, late 20's, $1100/year liability and comp, clean record, SF, 2 cars and a house

90/month full coverage State Farm
29 years old

Ive had liter bikes for the last 7 years and most I ever paid was 110/mo.

You have two options -- it will be quick and accurate for you to just go out and get a quote with these two companies:

- State Farm
- TD/Meloche (if over 30yo)

There are too many variables related to driver stats and desired coverage to get a "quote" based on what other people are paying.
