Daily sports car?

Wonder what we're supposed to do when in 4.5 years, 60% of vehicles in Canada sold new have to be EVs.

I don't currently own a car, but I will probably pick up one of the last ICE, manual-transmission cars "before the Motor Law":

Right now will someday be the "better vanished time". Make keeping your current cars "as new be your dearest dream".

Are they mandating actual electric vehicles, or just zero emissions vehicles? Pretty stupid to lock into a specific technology when alternatives could theoretically be developed by then.
Be developed and commercially available at scale in the next 4 years? Also when has a politician ever cared about reality, practicality or cost. The government is strictly on a greenwashing and slush fund program. They have little interest in any positive change. Regardless of the party in power, expect a punt close to the deadline as enforcing it would be an economic disaster.

2030 is 60% zero-emission. 2035 is 100% zero-emission.

FYI, zero-emission is a disinformation tactic. There's no such thing.
