Covid Vacs

I still remember flying out to my FIFO gig when COVID was making the rounds. Had a cough but site told me to show up. Get to the boat to take us to site, sorry no...you're going back.

Fast forward 3 days and I'm in a hospital ward in a small town in central BC under 24h watch for COVID while they send my results to a lab in Vancouver...3 days because this was a Friday and no shipping on weekend...yay.

After a few more days turned out to be pneumonia but since C19 was so early and unknown the symptoms were very similar and easily confused with C19.

GTAM came to the rescue with multiple offers of help, VPN streaming services, and passwords and accounts to use during that time.

I was stuck in a ****** apartment, on my own, little heat, no hot water, and had to wait for the nurse that we were using to bring me food 3x / day all masked up.

Good times.

She even brought me some weights to keep occupied.

Apparently I'm still banned from that town, but haven't been back in years so don't actually care anymore. No plan on going back after how they treated me.

MP lifetime ban in central BC was not on my lifetime bucket list or bingo card.

A town or municipality can't just ban you. It would require a court order.. it goes against your rights and wouldn't be taken lightly.

Meh. Apparently I was tracked through surveillance cameras and they were all up in arms.

Honestly made no difference to me. Once it got out about how I was treated my company stopped using the town and we stayed in Vancouver overnight instead. Then flew in and just bypassed the town we used for 2+ years.
 
Rural BC ? He’s lucky they didn’t burn him for being a witch . First they would see if he floats , since witches are made of wood ( that’s why they burn) , but ducks also float so if he weighed the same as a duck…. Well that’s that .
