Bent GS500 front forks

Hi, my friend's GS500 got damaged in a crash and the front forks are bent (among other less severe damages). I was wondering where we would be able to find some replacement forks for the bike around GTA and how much do they usually go for?

Thanks in advance.

Check prices on eBay, I bought a set for my Bandit after I hit a deer and kinked both forks.

If they aren't kinked you may be able to get them straightened. Riders choice was going to straighten mine until Ryan observed that they were definitely kinked and beyond repair.

Also, you may have kinked tubes, but no damage to the internals, so replacing the tubes only may be easier on the wallet.

There is a list of local junk yards in the dealers section of this forum. You can also check on gstwin forums.

i got spare gs500 forks from a 2007f if you like. do you need the triple tree with it or not? without the triple tree, i'll give it you for $100, for both sides. let me know...

Not to kill a potential deal, but this might be a good opportunity to consider better forks.

The stock GS500 forks are incredibly soft. Unless you weight 90lbs, you would probably benefit from something stiffer, and some adjustability (apart from changing oil levels and buying new springs)

I would throw up a thread on GSTwins.com and see if anyone recommends an alternative.

Ontario cycle salvage, Oshawa cycle salvage, Peterborough cycle salvage. Someone's going to have a set for sale.
