Anyone here a cyclist?

Went to top up tires. Got the same issue with the Presta valves being little bitches so today was the day to swap it all out. Since the valve cores were coming out I topped off the sealant too and switched over a saddle as the last one made me feel like a rugby team had used my ass for kicking practice.

Since the Clik valves go on and off without any twisting there's another small bonus. The tubeless stems don’t loosen from the lock ring nut twisting loose. It does what it says on the tin. Click on and off for a positive lock on the valve with minimal to no loss of air.

Last job will be to convert my gravel bike to tubeless and put the Clik valve cores in the new stems.

DJI is getting into the e-mountain bike game. First reviews of their motor have been very positive and they outshine the competition. I looked at the bikes, they are very well specced. The main issue is reliability as no one knows what that is yet. Pricing might not be available yet, I wonder what they will cost.

Edit: 10k Canadian lol.

Hey folks,
I just test rode a Specialized Sirrus that’s up for sale at $450. Because I don’t know much about bicycles, I originally thought there was only one model of Sirrus (sweet summer child moment 🙃).
Looking at the photos I took, I can see the SKU is 90917-6003. After a quick search, it seems like it might be a 2017 Sirrus Sport — but I’m not 100% sure.
Does anyone here have thoughts on this bike, and whether $450 is a fair price for it?
Thanks in advance!

Found this.
That’s a discussion of what you can upgrade if you really want to.

Looks fine for the price. Shimano disc brakes. Sirrus Sport

Rack mount points so you can add what you need to carry stuff.

At a minimum I found that I needed to swap out the saddle on every bike I've had except one. You can go nuts on that but there's perfectly good ones for $50. Look on amazon resale for bike parts like saddles as plenty of folks return them. I picked up a lovely Brooks saddle like that for a big discount.

If you pay more it may weigh less and have an upgraded component list like a step up for the gears etc. If you depress the pedals it will still do the same thing.

As long as you got the right size frame, the components look decent and I favour rigid frame and forks personally.

I’m a bit of a snob for crank sets and peddles and typically find something that makes me feel like I upgraded. I’d gladly rip up the road on it. Oh, and I’d probably have fresh tires just because. But, ride it for a bit and yes, many will change out the saddle for their taste.

$450 for an aluminum frame name brand bike with hydraulic brakes isn’t bad at all.
