Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Getting very close....

and it's RED :love::sneaky:
Cool. Basically an electric CBR125 for a similar price point. Not as fun but cheaper to run.

On an unrelated topic, a few houses away from me a guy has a Model S, an Allroad and a Lincoln SUV of some sort. Where the S parks, the driveway has substantially sunk. No obvious deformation with the other vehicles. Weight vs tire size? Just bad luck?

Tesla cars aren't particularly out of whack relative to the weight of modern CUVs and SUVs. My driveway has 4 sunken spots where the tires of my van have to be in order for me to sneak bikes in and out of the garage. Because it is always in the same spot (and because the driveway was put in by the builder for the cheapest possible price thus the pavement is as thin as they could get away with) ... those are now depressions.

Pretty sure sure a poorly packed stone base and/or not thick enough is the root cause of sunken asphalt.

Before I did my driveway, I had them pour a concrete base under where I park by full size truck before finishing asphalt.

I knew the truck would be parked there daily and 14 years later no dimples!

9 g is for both the rear wheel bearings control arms on all corners and the the rear wheel bearing mounts. Basically every suspension component except shocks and struts front and rear. 7g in parts apparently Tesla suspensions a known problem but this seems crazy.

Update he bought the parts from tesloid and had a independent Tesla specialist fix it total was 2500 drives much better now.

What are people with CHAdeMO connectors on their car doing for fast charging?

CHAdeMO is not physical-adapter-compatible with either CCS or NACS (which uses CCS communication protocol).

Owners of vehicles with CHAdeMO are plugging in at home, and using existing fast-charging stations that have that connector, just like they've always done, and that's what they'll have to do until their vehicles reach end-of-life. Most of those vehicles are the old Nissan Leaf and a few scattered hybrid Mitsubishi models that can still run on petrol without ever plugging in.

I saw a new Nissan Leaf today. It looks like a vast step up from the old one.

Good to know I saw the Nissan dealer pushing the leaf today 480 km range makes it a serious ev now.

Wow. That's different. The old leafs (and similar turds like Mini/golf/smart/etc) were barely competent as in-city run-arounds.

I still wouldn't really want to own a Nissan though. Nissan and Mitsu are circling the drain imo.

Nissan maybe but Mits has many other aspects to the biz conglomerate
Japan Inc doesn't let it's zaibatsu go bankrupt
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), maintains robust overall financial health driven by massive demand for gas turbines and defense systems
That said EVs and batteries from China are being disruptive everywhere. 🤪
Even Honda had it's first loss since 1957

I was referring to the auto divisions in Canada. Nissan also has other divisons that may suck less.

nissan seems to be turning a corner,

they can actually make a good product when they want to. (the Nissans from the late 80s and 90s were real good)

after that, they seem to have lost their way with lackluster designs and products, I blame their managment.

It’s been a head scratcher why they merged with Renault back in 99 and chased fuel economy with cheap CVTs.

Those mid nineties Maxima with V6 and manual transmission were a hoot and downright dependable. Ahhh the good old days!

Friend has a new Z and it’s a nice machine.
