New Leaf has coolant system for battery thermal management. Older gens did not and excessive heat was the killer.
I thought the Leaf had finally switched to thermal battery management?

There is one up the street from me. They've had it for a few years and I've only seen it on a tow truck once.Welp just bought a new equinox ev. Fully loaded RS went in looking at a base but this one was a good deal I think. 52 k all in after rebates etc.

Black not sure I may sell a van and keep the volt to drive to work as it makes it there and back for almost nothing instead of 150 a week in the truck. Is this replacing the volt? What colour did you get?
After tax too? ie. out-the-door?52 k all in after rebates etc.
Yes out the door it seemed pretty good. Was really nice to drive as well. After tax too? ie. out-the-door?
If so, that's amazing!
Word of caution with PHEV. Very practical with short trips within the battery range rating. If you do long distance, it behaves just like a hybrid so, it’s fine.I'd be lying if I wasn't considering switching the Maverick / Odyssey for an EV/PHEV right now...$1.72/L this morning in my area.
Too many kids = not enough space in most vehicles besides a van.
Range may always be an issue but times change. In 1955 if you wanted to visit relatives in Manitoba you drove for two long days each way. Now you look at the cost of meals and accommodation along the way, shredded nerves, gas, wear and tear. Instead, you call an airline and save a week of your life.Took the equinox Windsor and back today was a good experience. I let it drive home a bit strange not touching the steering wheel from Windsor to Cambridge but good overall. The one thing it does not do well at is anticipating when someone will change lanes. It did its own lane change etc very smoothly. As expected the super cruise does not work in heavy rain like on the way there.
Charged at the on route and in Windsor just to get a feel for how to use charging stations big speed difference between supposed identical charges the one in Woodstock charged at 80kw the one in Tilbury at 40kw and the shell one in Windsor at 60kw. En route rates are high at 70c kwh vs shell at 40c. The one charge in Windsor would have been enough but we stopped to get the kids food and washroom break so tried the other chargers. Happy with it so far and wife is less concerned about the range after today's drive.

We have a class b van for road trips and other vehicles if needed. This is just for daily use.Range may always be an issue but times change. Florida: You have two weeks vacation. Do you want to spend half of it on the road or get the full two weeks at the beach?
