I like the b r c r n b o brakes (what a waste of a chunk of aluminum). That power cable routing is the best I have ever seen. They balanced the wheel. I can't see that being necessary if it tops out at 32 km/h as stated.

I don't know who's bidding on that turd. Are they not reading the ad that proof of export is required? Are they planning to pillage it for parts and hope the government forgets that it was never exported? I think the value may be negative given what is required of you once you have it.

If it has to be picked up by a bonded carrier I assume it has to be kept in bond. If it got out of bond and onto the street, how would they track it down amongst the other hundred thousand other unlicensed, unregulated e-Bikes on the road?

Del Lussenden, a Surge dairy equipment dealer in Owen, Wis., has come up with a new "cow power" system that captures body heat given off by dairy cows to heat farm homes and other buildings. In the summer, the system reverses itself to act as an air conditioner.

"One cow gives off 4,400 btu's per hour. Our Dairy-Aire system recovers 2,500 btu's. A 60-cow herd will easily heat and cool the average 1,500 to 2,000 sq. ft. home," Lussenden told FARM SHOW, noting that the system can also be installed in high capacity hog, poultry and other confinement buildings.

If the cow barn was too hot and you wanted to cool it and warm the house/shop, just install an air source heat pump condenser inside the barn. Simple and proven with no smell transfer.

But if you wanted milk for your coffee, with a cow in the house, it would be on tap.
 
Interesting/infuriating concept here. I haven't fact checked to see if works as advertised. I won't be surprised if it is greenwashed hooey and it is really just membership fees vs paybacks in the circle.

TL: DR Earn $0.03/kwh of charging by subscribing to a program as they sell the credits for green energy. Basically a dog ^*&^ing itself.

Let this be a lesson to the "all in" on EV car makers (Ford, GM et al) that dumped Billions for nothing

Honda and Toyota were right all along...... they still have relatively few EVs in their line up to this day, and Honda was shrewd enough to piggy back a GM design instead of rushing and designing an all EV platform pre-maturely.

Been saying it since 2017 back in post 2 of this thread. Hybrids are the way to go!

Just love it.

A guy I know has his investments spread over two or three advisors. When an advisor asks him why his reply is "You told me to diversify."

Similarly, the only EV I'd go for is hybrid. I'm ICE now because the capital outlay doesn't let EVs work for me

I think if Elon had made the cyber truck look and function more like a Chev avalanche, it would still be a best seller.


It attracted the earlier adopters and YouTube content creators and a few people with more money than brains and it’s selling exactly how it should. Poorly.
 
Too bad about the Lightning. Aside from the whole topic about commuting in a pickup truck to begin with, it was a nice vehicle. An electrician at work just bought one. Got a very good trade price on their F150 Lariat, and the 110 km daily hwy round trip to work goes from $70 a week to $3.
 
If they ever come out with a pickup hybrid i would likely buy one if the cost was reasonable,

F150 & Maverick.


Reasonable cost? Can that be a factor when shopping for a new pick up?


Not sure the pricing on F150 lease returns?

The problem with the Tesla pickup is the stainless body and fingerprints. You have to take along your wife and her bottle of fridge polish everywhere you go. :)
 
Watching a couple of EV-slanted youtubers today, I'm not seeing any positives about Ford's cancellation. It might be good for Ford's short-term bottom line but for the next decade it might actually doom them. And I'll bet a kidney the EREV and PHEV will cost just as much if not more than the EV truck for the consumer.
