Another Pancake Fix

May 09 2026 I got together with some fellow Guzzi Riders at Wheeler's Pancake House.
300km round trip.
Left Bath at 9:30 for an 11:15 reservation.
The place was packed with a group of ATV riders taking over the entire restaurant at 12:30.
High cloud, 8 degrees with a cool wind off Lake Ontario.
It warmed up and the cloud dissipated as I headed North.
18 degrees and sunny when I left the restaurant at 12:30.
Light traffic most of the trip except in Perth.
$2.12 a litre for premium sucks!

Do they still have their home made maple sausages on the menu? I need to go up for brunch one day soon.

Still do
I would advise making a reservation this time of year.

I'm definitely going to try and get out there this year, ever since you mentioned this place I've wanted to go.

Some great roads getting there as a bonus

The Ompah Stomp.

Yes loads of great roads. I need to check but you may also be able to take your Africa Twin offroad on the K&P nearby at Snow Rd Station. There’s been changes in recent years with this though so double check. Doable with a big ADV bike but some deep gravel last time I went. South of Sharbot Lake is a definite no no.
