Hey Mike have you been up towards Aubrey Falls or around Elliot Lake area at all recently?
I'm thinking of heading up there and wondering how the TransCanada and the southern portion of the 129 are.

Mattawa to the 144 is good, haven’t been west of the 144. Generally roads in the north are good now. Washouts and potholes are fixed or marked, roads are clear of winter sand.
533 to Mattawa is good - drove that a few weeks back.

Been over 10 years since I was up near Mattawa, so looking forward to it. And I always pass by the Elliot Lake area on the TC, but never head up that way, so that will be a new one for me.

Something about Elliot Lake, I found it to be a very depressing town. I don't know why exactly. They do have a nice look out though.
HWY 69 is a mixed bag, it reduces down to 1 lane each way, and lower speeds, which causes some congestion. I'm sue you must be aware of it.
This a day ride or a over nighter?
Thanks - this is a day ride, starting from my buddies cottage and then helping another buddy hit the 1000mile mark. So not planning on stopping very much
Took the bike out for the first time this season. Street riding has reduced quite a bit and was the topic of thought during the ride. My usual season opener route is the river rd run. 400 up north, exit at King, ride country roads to hockley, mono, river rd, and back. I used to go up to Creemore, but opted not to this time.
I see there are other threads going around on this topic, but wtf is wrong with drivers in gta. Absolute lack of regard for rules. Sitting 2 inches away from my brake lights to a car trying to share a lane with me (I was in the blocking position and this car cut across a solid white line from the other side - zip merging in traffic). At least 4-5 instances of risky driving which was too close for comfort for me, and that too (I believe) knowingly. Unfortunately, I feel, it's only going to go downhill from here.

Went out yesterday to meet up with a bunch of Honda ST riders at the Iron Rooster in Marmora. Felt great to be out by 8:30 and home by 5:00, around 380 km. Dodged the showers in the morning with maybe 3 raindrops. On the way home I got into couple of 10 min showers bit it was warm and I dried off. The wind was brutal though on the way home. Only one pic though. Guess what the favourite colour was?
