I have a 2011 Vstar with an original Yuasa battery that finally died last month. What a run .. 13 years!!

I ride as low as -4 celcius as long as its sunny out. I am fortunate to work 7 miles from my house so I start riding to work in March and end in late November but I do get out in between that on dry and sunny days

I miss the demo days here in Hamilton. Sturgess Cycle and Kelly's would always hold one years ago. I actually test rode two Bonnevilles on there last demo day and weeks later ended up buying one from that delaer. Great experience! Love for a return one day.

Should I be calling the dealership for a replacement battery purchase or should I be looking elsewhere? Anybody have any recommendations for me. I know a place called ACME battery in Hamilton but last time years ago was not too impressed. Yuasa battery good reputation but expensive.

thanks I will be syphoning it out. Do you think I should be flushing the brakes and the cooling system since its been sitting for so long? Somebody mentioned that. I just want to get it running. Will be towing it home on Monday to get the cake of grease and dust off it and begin the rest.

I just wanted all the old gas out since this bike has been sitting for 3 years. Would siphoning be sufficient in this situation?

Does anyone know how to drain a gas tank on a Triumph Bonneville Street Cup? Theres is nothing on youtube on this. Somebody mentioned siphoning would be the only way if thats true but what about the fuel lines than?

this is a factory stock Cafe Racer and not a conversion. I understand now what you meant .. thanks. Will get it home first on a tow and first task to figure out how to drain the tank and lines. Being unsure if Im keeping it or selling it .. I will go through it like its staying.

I just switched over to Echelon insurance myself and they were by far the cheapest than others I got quoted on. Maybe stick with them, I mean why cancel over some bad reviews out there? Who cares .. your insured .. its cheaper.

If it was not for the cheapest premium I could find than I would go elsewhere. I will rip them apart if they dont back down on the cancellation fee or agree on a deferral date.
