That’s why I like doing my own wheel changes. They always over torque them. If I have to change one at the side of the road with the included spare setup I’d never get those off. I carry a breaker bar with the correct sized socket just in case.
I had one for at least 20 years too and the ratcheting started to slip. Went to Cdn Tire and exchanged it for a new one and they gave me a new one without any question.
Saw a couple of brave riders today with the snow pellets bouncing off them. A big Harley and a sport bike. Also a m/c riding school. The students were having fun, the instructors were covering their heads with clip boards. Looked like a full class too. Great to see that enthusiasm.
I think dielectric grease should be good here as it isn’t too thick.
Is the lever adjustable? With my adjustable lever I made the throw too short and it didn’t travel long enough to move the micro switch. So I had to adjust it out a tiny bit to make it work. Just in case.
Finally got the bike out. It started to rain and thought for the first ride maybe a good idea to keep it short. Then Hockley Valley Road called to me. On and off rain, nothing heavy. I had the road to my self no bikes at the General Store. The road is in good shape a few frost heaves but no sand...
Nice herd. I think the one in the middle gives the best fuel for fun ratio of the three. Congrats on the beauties.
Good to know about the Husky symbol, I always thought it was odd as it looked like a cross section of a tire on a rim.
