Charging lead acid batteries in the house?

Mostly no but a little yes. Charging a LA battery can result in hydrogen gas release. If in a large space, no big deal. If you charge them in a closet or cabinet and get unlucky, you could theoretically have a fire or explosion. Even then, I doubt a tender would release gas fast enough to get a...

latest on the new Safety Cert Drive On program...

The requirements haven't changed but the flexibility sure has. Before a mechanic could pass things that were not in compliance with letter of the law and if it came down to it, argue that you changed something after they signed. Now mechanics don't have that out and the vast majority are...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

@mimico_polak should look at that one. I think the Stelvio is lower than most of the adv bikes. Listed 19 weeks ago so I don't know if they still have it. If they do, price should be lower.

latest on the new Safety Cert Drive On program...

Driveon program requires pics of bike. No more mechanics discretion. If you think it doesn't pass, it probably doesn't pass. If you can cobble together something (think trailer plate bracket),, that lets you pass anywhere.

Ever been denied service at Tim's drive thru while on your bike?

Some stores employ (or are owned by) people with court orders not to be alone with females. That sign is to attempt to (or pretend to) comply with the order while remaining solvent.

Apparently some of the newer ones came with the appropriate paperwork. I have no idea which ones, nor if seller has that paperwork for you. I would assume no and treat It as a win if you managed to get a used bike plated.

Ever been denied service at Tim's drive thru while on your bike?

Meanwhile, former acquaintances worked at taco bell. If someone came in hammered, they were instructed to tell them to leave the restaurant but the drive through was open. Insane corporate policy. Not sure if it is still in force.

Ever been denied service at Tim's drive thru while on your bike?

I used to take a bicycle through a wendy's drive through. I had to drag the bike sideways across the sensor. I got strange looks but they served me. I've never tried to take a motorcycle through a drivethrough and haven't been to TH in many years.

    Store closing

The last time I was there, IIRC it was in Hamilton and Len (or Les?) owned it. After that, it was sold and moved. I never went to the new store. I think @Wingboy has been there.

From the judge "Both defendants should not use or possess firearms and not have the exclusion for employment". Not sure how the charges were decided.

Nice. Finally a court that didn't use blue glasses. If you suck at guns, you can't touch them. Courts shouldn't care who your employer is or the consequences of your actions.

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

Inhumane gets them in tons of hot water in courts. No matter how awful someone is, knowingly torturing them is not a bar that should be crossed. That being said, hanging and firing squad are reasonably fast and humane and still allowed in some states. The bar has never been instant lights out...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

While he could run in the joists space there, at the right side of the picture, the line turns and runs perpendicular to the joists for a long run. Mp, I wouldnt run the pipe in front of the window, if raising it, I'd go above the window. The right approach is probably cut the floor but that's...

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

One of the original drugs was EOL'd as it was used mostly for death and the manufacturer didn't want to be associated with that. If fentanyl contact causes instant death as the police continue to harp, it would be easy. Sadly, the police position is completely unrelated to reality. It needs to...

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

What a bleepshow that was. Hopefully that is the end of lethal injection. It's been circling the drain for a while with inability to access previously used drugs and crap protocols. In this case, the protocol said if the first round didn't work, do it again. There was no protocol if the second...
