It seems it's been blacklisted recently, I am part of Ontario vfr forums and guys there in 60s are not able to insure vfrs anymore due to recent re classification.

I have hearing the same chatter on vfr forums , that suddenly insurance companies have blacklisted vfr800 and are considering it a sport bike. Mine is insured with thepersonal (Desjardins). Try them. I am paying around 800 per year.

Halton police will target loud pipes this year from Apr - Oct. Question- if one gets a ticket for loud exhaust, is it similar for other HTA laws, i.e. demerit points and impact on insurance?

I own and ride one, great bike, even for beginners. Beginners maybe find it a bit on the heavy side, but very approachable power and awesome in-line four fun.

Could be, but not many places do safety where I live in Milton, the closest place is Teams Honda which charges 120$.

I have bought three used bikes so far, all without safety. Safety costs 120$. Two of them didn't need anything and other one needed front tire to pass safety. Since the seller says price is negotiable, you can ask him to adjust price. It's more of a hassle and waste of time to get safety done...

I am convinced we need to give it a shot and have enrolled kiddo to French Immersion. As parents, we need to provide kids with the opportunities at the least, whether they will excel at any or not is secondary, That's my view. Good discussion you all.

I intend to learn French myself, one part of it is my son generally takes more interests in things I do, example I had to learn ice skating myself first for him to start showing any interests...

Exactly, that's why I am learning French myself. It will take me time but I think I will get there and it will give home encouragement that he is not alone in this journey.
