So... what are the actual regulations with regards to transporting a weapon on a bike? (yes, i'm little lazy to read the actual law) plus interested in the practical matters
i have a '91 radian Yx600. Very close to xj's and fz's. YX, XJs are all easy to work on, great bikes.
If the bike doens't need anything done at all to it - maybe. But you are getting at some heavier maintenance items past the 30'000 mark. If you can do your own wrenching - no big deal...
Sweetpea - sorry about your experience, as someone else has suggested a little further away from the tire probably would have gotten you the help you needed. Most of the people i know will check on the riders pulled over to make sure everything is ok and no help needed.
And on another...
uh-oh. there is tool to do that, a cheap one ~$100 a professional ~$800. Bench sync them (google) various methods. And then put them on the bike and drive to a shop that will sync them for you.
