Once you get your "Racer Bike" be sure to comb the forums for the 'most rad' armour to wear and locations of all the Timmies you can go to pose beside your bike at.

    Hello

That figure sounds about right. I'm with Riders Plus and i think they are great. I shopped around when i was looking at bikes and their rates beat everyone elses by 100's. I'm surprised they quoted you for a ninja though, i thought they only insured cruisers and standard bikes, and people over...

    New Rider questions and suggestions

I don't think there will be any difference in your insurance by waiting a year. Having your m2 but not riding gives you no experience so they won't lower your rates for waiting. Can't speak for the bikes though as i started on a cruiser.

new rider excited but nervous :)

Find the closest empty mall parking lot and go there on a sunday after they close and practice for an hour or two, especially slow speed stuff. Just practice all the things you remember them teaching you. I see your sig says Mississauga. So Square One is probably close to you, however their...

This Is What Happens When You Hit Black Ice On A Huge Tourer Bike

Says the guy who admits to riding wrecklessly and not knowing how to safely adjust speed/angle to enter an onramp to a highway, resulting in a huge crash in which he nearly dies... and who previously admits to causing a tractor trailer to jack-knife on the highway.. :? lol

Hating on riders - from a rider

Yeah the guy on the Virago wasn't *that* bad, but still split as well, the funny part is seeing him look over at the crotch rocket guy and you can tell he's thinking wow look at that idiot! lol

Hating on riders - from a rider

Those speeds i listed were brief moments, to get out of the way of cars quickly coming up my ***, or getting around big trucks that were giving me wind grief. I usually cruise right at the 10k over line, but for short bursts when there is a bunch of cars coming up fast on your *** you have to...

Hating on riders - from a rider

Agreed. Actually once on the highway at speed my jacket and helmet vent enough that i'm not that hot. The wind fixes that. It's only in stop and go traffic that the heat really sucks. On Sunday i took a pretty decent rock to the face shield too that was kicked up by a car in front of me. It...

Hating on riders - from a rider

No high horse, to each their own. I was bloody hot too and many times i think to myself man i should just ditch the jacket.. but then i just get the mental image of what i would look and feel like if i dumped or someone hit me and that thought goes away. It's that which puzzles me about people...

Hating on riders - from a rider

I saw a ton of jackassery and stupidity from riders on the QEW this Sunday coming back to T.O. from the niagara region. First, stopped for gas on Victoria ave near Vineland just before getting on the highway, two heavy set female riders on Harleys are there in tshirts, shorts, and croqs...

Good bike road within short distance of Burlington?

You could take the QEW to Victoria Ave and ride through the vineyards. It's only about 20 mins from Burlington. It's just a long straight country road so skills wise it's no big thrills but there are some nice scenic farms out there if you are just looking for a relaxed cruise with a passenger...

    a very lucky rider...

I saw this on msn too. Don't you just hate internet videos that have no context or story with them. I wonder where this was. It's clearly the riders fault, you can see him take the corner at the top of the frame at way too high a speed. How much you wanna bet he was some 19 year old noob who...

    regarding motorcycle test dates?

He really should try to find a way to fund taking the course, besides fixing the issue of time contraints, it will make him a better/safer rider. Learning on his own or from someone else won't preprare him as well for driving on ontario roads with all the insane cagers as well as a school will.

Where to Mount GoPro on Bike?

I tried many different mounts and angles, having it on the bike gets some neat shots, but the novelty wears off, and it's really hard to get it to stay steady without any shaking. I found that by far the best way to use a GoPro is with the chest mount as far as steadiness. It stays perfectly...

    Turn Choke off and stalls

Shouldn't have to open it fully to start, especially on a Honda, Honda's are good cold starting bikes. Should only open it up about half way to start, and then be able to turn the choke off totally withing a couple minutes. Never ride with it half way open, you are flooding your engine and...

New to this site - Never riden before

Don't buy the bike first.. write the m1 and then take the safety course and you will get to ride their bikes. That way you can be sure you can ride safely, and will still want to before shelling out hard earned money on a bike. There is no guarantee in passing and getting an m2, for anyone, so i...
