50cc but at least he could sort of keep up on the city streets.
Good memories for me.
I much prefer a bike with twin beams on all the time. Burgman 650 had the best lighting for late night rides. Terrific road presence

and weather protection.
I think some of the new sport bikes lose some viz with tiny headlights even if they are crazy bright.
 
2000 Moto Guzzi Quota 1100ES. 11,000km, with hard bags, needs tires. $3500.

A bit of an oddball, no doubt, but that's part of the charm.

I know those are reliable, but 130k is a lot
Not really. My ST1100 has a little over 200K km on it and runs great. At 130K km an ST1300 is nicely broken in.
So is 23 years
Then my ST is ancient at 29 years:LOL:. I plan on riding it for a few more years because it's the most comfortable and reliable bike I've ever owned.
 
That's pretty cheap for a very rideable, running classic $2500 is a bargain.
