TV shows currently watching

Finished up S3 of Squid Games...solid meh.

Don't think I was invested as the first season. Second one was worse, and the third one was just a 'may as well finish this'.

They connected it at the end to a US version, which will surely suck as they're gonna milk that cash cow dry.

Watching the "Cowboy Bebop"live action series again. Love it and wish it had gotten a second season, but Netflix gonna Netflix. I'll have to sit down and watch the original Anime sometime soon.

Not for the faint of heart or uneasy tummy

Was interesting in particular as I'll be going into a much diluted form of one of the procedures.
Was good to "see inside".

good cast too

Nice after long last to have easy smooth internet throughout the house. (y)

Finished the 4th (and hopefully final) 'Long way home' and while I thoroughly enjoyed the scenery and riding that was portrayed...I like Ewan less and less and they both seem to be more into it for the money now instead of just doing it as the first and second which appeared more for the pleasure of riding.

Agreed.
It seemed rushed or forced.
Would have liked to have seen more of the bike selection and modification/modernization section.

I’ll still always watch their stuff.
That first series was a watershed moment in the history of the sport.

Ewan doesn't need the money. Even Charlie is worth $8 mill + and Ewen 3 x that.
Riding the old bikes was a positive move. The shorter series was a plus as well.
Neither are interested in newer bikes ....similar to Itchy Boots in that respect.

Not my usual cuppa but hey 6 seasons and a fun send up with some "make you jump" bits.
🍿
Reminds me of the Norwegian series Ragnarok tho this is more send up. I really liked the latter.
We'll see on this one....hey six seasons must be something in it.
Usual gorgeous spooky on its own West Coast scenery.

Try Supernatural if you end up liking this. One of my all-time favorite shows that I recommend to everyone. It went for 15 seasons and then spawned The Winchesters which wasn't as good but still worth watching if you have withdrawal.

The new Dexter Resurrection season is awesome!
It's on 3rd episode, I always was a huge fan so couldn't wait till it all dropped so watching like it was intended - 1 episode a week LOL

Finally finished up The Shield - all seven seasons.

The last couple of seasons were a bit all over the place, kinda ended somewhat as expected.

Now to get into something a bit more current.
Either Untamed or Ballard are on my radar.

In case you didn't know, Ballard is a spin-off from Bosch. You don't need to watch it first (she was only in a few epsidoes as far as I understand), but if you think you'll like Ballard, Bosch is the same type of show. Unless you're just there for Maggie, but Bosch also has eye candy.

This is good to know. I've watched everything of Bosch, and Bosch legacy, great series's. If it's of the same level of writing, etc this could be good, with Maggie as icing on the show ;)

Not quite as graphic as Surgeons but well done real life trauma cases.

Very much enjoying High Arctic Haulers on Netflix. It's a documentary that kind of encapsulates what Canada really is to me. Battling the weather and the waves to get goods to remote arctic communities where there's no roads or even port infrastructure. It's fascinating and reminds me that compared to quite a few people we have relatively easy lives. I can't imagine running or working on these ships.

Slow Horses on Apple has been a pleasant surprise.

Also binged Dept Q.

Having low expectations helps but, I did find the quality of story line and character development good overall for both.

Slow Horses is terrific ....funny and superb caste.
Switched out from completing Surgeons on Prime to Critical on Netflix for the real life medical episodes.
Amazing what can be done...fair bit of motorcycle traumas in the mix.
Reattaching finger, bringing a hand with the nerves, tendons and both artery and vein severed back to to function....unreal.
Very engaging...takes my mind off my own current issue that has not resolved.

Forgot I bought a used standard Blue Ray set of GofT was annoyed as the first disc was very hiccupy tho it always recovered. It had some handling marks on it but think the rest are fine.
Second half of the disc and the second disc are fine and questioning my decision to buy 4k Blu Ray instead of the much less expensive standard Blu Ray.
I finished reading the cycle and watched it on the laptop but the upscaling on the new 4k screen and the HDR makes for a much more satisfying cinematic experience.
Terrific sound too.
Either the player or the TV upscales 1080P to near 4k...there is lots of chatter on line if 4k Blu Ray is enough of an upgrade.

Certainly in this case even sitting near file at a meter I'm completely engaged and immersed in the sound and image and have no technical annoyances at all.
No grain in the image. 🆒
