I tend to think the latter. People see a big truck and think "let me just scoot around before this lane ends" and whoops! There's a bike. I keep a good space when I'm in front of a bus for the same reason. People speed up just to get ahead of the bus before the next light and nearly take me out...
Anyone in this thread want to sell their saddlebag brackets? We put hard bags on her '02 Road Star last year that we mounted with edge brackets but find she never wants to take them off. I'm looking for something that won't wiggle so much.
It can be a lot of fun but it's a cottage road so you really need to be careful around some corner. Cars won't be expecting you to come roaring around so watch out. If I remember correctly the last couple clicks on the north section were pretty chewed up.
