TV shows currently watching

Watched episode 1 of season 4 of Reacher yesterday. I’m a big fan of the books and the films and TV series too. Something is off about the timing/production/directing on this one. It all seems super rushed and forced. Reacher leaves a police station, fights two guys on the sidewalk, goes into a diner next to the fight, conveniently meets a cop there who is the brother of a victim, goes back outside and the two guys he fights are back and so he goes along with them to sort out another story arc then back to the diner. All this happens in about a 5 minute span.

Alan Ritchson will never win an Oscar either but I’ve seen him way less wooden in other films and series etc.
This happens with all the same genres. Guy starts of decent, gets more popular, and then the series starts treating the hero almost like a super hero.

S3 of Reacher was climbing toward that…and no surprise S4 keeps it up.

Season 8 of Alone I just finished. The winner deserved it tho that was an area both dangerous ( griz, cougar , wolves and black bear all showed up - even a fisher which I've never seen in the wild ) yet resource light. Still some lovely shelters and innovative fishing.
Online reviews said 6 and 7 the best ...I'd agree with that so far. I liked the Great Slave Lake season.
But 8 was okay

On to 9.
Should take me to Survivor 51 later in Sept.

A deserving winner of 9 - he was very clever in his approach
- on to S10🍿

Finished S10 of Alone and was decent. Far north Sask. is wild

S11 tho is rated very highly and the show set even further north.
and serious big game plus set beyond the Arctic Circle !!!!
...
Finished the Alone Seasons...11 was pretty good given the way north location. Hardcore to the end. Some serious fishing
I've seen 12 before - the Karoo in S Africa was less interesting to me as familiar and watched it already.

Not sure where S13 is....
Okay last two episodes ...hard core arctic survivors left on the World Champions Season.

Silo S3 - was good okish... the whole memory drug felt like a huge plot hole. Otherwise fairly solid with them trying to fill in backstory. Plus nice to see Jessica Henwick join the cast.

Watching Criminal Minds now while newer shows get fully released.

Watching Band of Brothers again ...it is sooooo engaging and well done.
I think the biggest impact is from the interviews with those that were actually there.
Most would be gone by now.
The last surviving member, Private First Class Bradford Freeman, passed away on July 3, 2022, at the age of 97. Before him, the final surviving officer of the unit, Colonel Edward Shames, passed away in December 2021 at age 99
The cast was very engaging.
One thing I like is in the D-Day landing ...the capture and destruction of 4 guns by Easy Company is still taught in military circles.
Fantastic writing.
Binged it straight through - just a treat (y)

I've had a itch to re watch this series for some time, might check it out soon.
But it's the later seasons I remember kind being very meh, after season 1 being so awesome.
It did get affected by the writers' strike, after season 1, but I think it started to fall apart for other reasons.
