You used to go on vacation and come back two weeks later to find out your best friend had died. No you know what he had for lunch.

I don't know if this is a factor but when I tried logging in there were 9 members and 3951 guests.

4500 guests now. I suspect @cutekill / @PrivatePilot need to add something to keep the crawlers/AI training bots at bay. That's an obscene load with no benefit for CK.

They do that when intentionally fiddling. It only happens every year or so. I suspect the recent slowness is insane load by AI bots.

I've never noticed, I guess Ai bots are a new thing. Tech can be a wonderful thing...

Unfortunately, we have no control over the maintenance schedule of the server we are hosted on. Any GTAM maintenance done by Admin is never done Monday to Friday, that's day job time.

This site is getting unusable on mobile sometimes. Takes forever to load, and sometimes doesn't load at all.

Wait a few min, try again, no issue. 10min later, won't load.

Better on a desktop/laptop browser, but mobile has been fairly bad.

That is very interesting, I just checked for curiosity and just over 3000 bots or "guests". Crazy!

No it has been an ongoing problem, the slowness comes and goes. I think @GreyGhost is on the right track, thinking the bots are overwhelming the site. So far writing this reply as been ok.
