There's a nice start to the long weekend.
There was a transport jack knifed on the Skyway as well. Wasn't the usual unlabeled white Volvo w. auto tranny, either.
Massive fines don't affect the driver unless the driver was planning the crash. They would however make the company think about their safety policies and hiring systems.
How stinking hard would it be to retrofit a safety switch into the bed that only allows the bed up in first gear? All dumping trucks done by the end of the year.
Kitchener, left turn in front of a train in an intersection posted no left turns allowed. Truck lost. They only gave him a careless ticket. Imo, that was dumb enough for all the tickets. As a minimum, add another ticket for disobeying the sign.

It looks like the train didn't stick to the tracks either.
Yup, definitely derailed it. As is usual this will likely result in a conviction for "turn not in safety" or "disobey sign", followed by a severe drubbing by their insurance. The last is the real punishment.

I can't find any evidence of it but the odds are that he was under administrative suspension while awaiting trial, so wouldn't have had a license to surrender. Feels immortal, like so many younger people, so he won't stop until stopped.Another example of our justice system at work...

This dumb **** smoked a 1%er in Barrie tonight. Rider did ok but the passenger took damage. I won't be surprised if VW guy experiences a series of mysterious fires in everything he owns. The video is brutal. Rider tried to avoid and car pulling out of parking lot T-boned him.
