Wondering if anyone here uses one of these units, Or care to share any experiences with one?
Yeah just seen that, mods please delete… thxOne "negative" is that you have to run two separate power cables, one for the Carpuride (or Chigee, or whatever remote display you're using) and another one for your actual phone that is casting the screen. I guess if your trips are short, you can just run your phone battery down and recharge when your ride is over.
If you do run two power cables, after that initial setup is done, it looks like pretty smooth sailing.
BMW is basically doing this with its new TFT displays, they are integrating the casting function right into the bike's SW, so you don't need a separate display. It's a...
Carpuride offers to pay YouTubers and other influencers for reviews. Then when we publish a review that's fair and balanced instead of basically a glorified sales promotion for them, they don't pay and ask you to redo it. Ask me how I know.
As for Chigee, if you need BMW compatibility, that's a great option! I have one brand new in box I should probably keep but might be willing to sell..
If you don't specifically need it to plug right in to your BMW's OEM connector, like @Mad Mike said, you can just buy from any cheaper brand.
I have them in all my cars and one for my bike. Love ‘em.Wondering if anyone here uses one of these units, Or care to share any experiences with one?

Good topic to bring up once more.I picked up the LAMTTO unit. Install was easy and everything I needed was in the box. Connects straight away to devices. I use a communicator headset as well so my phone, LAMTTO unit and the communicator sync as soon as I turn them all on. It doesn't seem to like my VPN too much so I have to turn the VPN off.
What is the communicator headset?
Thanks, I thought Communicator was a brand name. I want to stay away from the brand names as I rarely use these as I've tried to listen to music before but found I "tune" it out.I have a Cardo packtalk slim and it works seamlessly with the Carpuride. I have the Cardo paired to my phone only, but using the Capuride I can control music, answer calls, etc.
Guys are braver than me.I would find this stuff very distracting. Especially podcasts or audio books.
Very good point. Was just about to buy a new case and mount, maybe it'll just stay in my pocket... My longest ride is my 10 minute commute to work and I have access to a URAL so don't need any distractions on that beast. For me it's just nice to not have to have my phone mounted, shaking, exposed to the sun/rain for tens of thousands of km. I have a bluetooth comm but unless I'm riding with the missus, or covering long distances and want some music or an audio book, it basically stays off.
How much weight have you got in the hack?Very good point. Was just about to buy a new case and mount, maybe it'll just stay in my pocket... My longest ride is my 10 minute commute to work and I have access to a URAL so don't need any distractions on that beast.
Two 20kg bags of salt in the hack will give you more confidence in right turns. Practice in an empty parking lot getting the hack in the air (or just light)Empty seat and truck. Shoot me a dm or let’s start a new Ural tips and tricks thread.
