Where to get a puppy?

What kind of dogs are in the pic? Ive only seen white Siberians in pure breeds other than Smoyeds.
Siberian huskies. The litter went from my pure white dogs to the usual black and white mix, with a middle dog actually grey with two different colour eyes.
Huskies in general are pack-oriented and may behave badly without strong persistent alpha presence. If you're a low-alpha owner, they can behave like you say -- canine terrorists.
My problem is at least partially that I had a wife and two stepdaughters that used to politely ask the dogs to do things and I had to fight them all the way to tears a few times telling them that they're NOT labradors and you have to be firm with them. They do pretty much anything for me, and the rest of the house is much better than they were at giving them direction. One dog is really heavily food-oriented (blue eyed one) and the other is not so much. But if the two of them are together, instinct kicks in and they will run. If they're out or slip a collar (it's happened) on their own they ignore my calls, I have had good luck NOT chasing them and instead sitting on the ground, which gets them to come to me... but together they just take off. Prey drive is crazy too, they don't even flinch when I am yelling at them if there's something they found that they can kill in the fenced-off area of my property.

Luckily, they only shed twice a year. The first six months, and the second six months.

Siberians can be white, but they can't be 90+ lbs that's way out of Siberian husky range -- fit Siberian males max out at 60lbs, females at 50lbs) and average 50/40lbs respectively. A 'white Siberian' over 65lbs is a crossbreed - usually with Malamutes. It's common for mixed breed Siberian/Malamutes to be sold as 'White Siberians", they are not true Siberians.

The dog in the pic has also has some facial features of Siberian/Malamute crosses -- her ears are slightly offset on the head and not pointing straight to the sky. True iberians have distinctive ears that are set close together high on the head and point straight up at the sky. Malamutes and crosses ears are slightly offset and point 10 & 2 o'clock.

None the less, they re beautiful looking dogs.

1 week in and it’s a different dog. No more lethargy, more noise, and more lively.

2 pee incidents in the house and 1 poo…overall not bad.

Needs to learn to walk on a leash but good pup overall. Super quiet.

Beautiful pup! Where did you get it?

I lost my Chocolate labradoodle about a year and a bit ago and I am just now thinking about getting another. My wife and daughters have allergies so I am limited to the *doodles. All in all amazing dogs - great around people & kids, she loved the water and her favorite thing of all time was boat rides. Ya I definitely need another pup!

PM sent with info.

Lucy has been great so far. Very affectionate and has had no more indoor accidents.

She’s nipping and biting lightly but her teeth are growing and being replaced so it’s natural.

Overall great experience and she’s now a member of the family.

Great manners with kids, travelling, and was a treat at the cottage.

Plus she lets us know clearly when she wants out.

Biggest issue is her refusal to walk more than 200-300m from the house. But at 5 months and winter, we’re making progress.

We're hosting a 5 month old rescue pup who might be staying.View attachment 77182View attachment 77183

If the furball has hound in it then make sure your yard is escape proof. They are experts at escaping. Our rescue beagle used to regularly escape but would come back after a bit but only after begging for pizza crusts at a local pizzeria. We're reasonably sure that’s how she survived when she was a stray.

She has her nose in the kitchen and knows it's off limits but was insisting her post supper blueberries were overdue.
We have not entirely convinced the pup that kitchen is off limits even when we're not in it.

Pup did pretty well with her first really loud Tstorm tonight. Couple of big flashes and quick bangs had her in mums arms. Lots of eye rolling and they retreated to the bedroom where she could not see the flashes,
That was a bloody sharp storm line but sure was needed,

Pup does not go out unaccompanied and house is well fenced, She does like to explore tho - exhumed a dead rat from under the house.
Fortunately was highly mummified so not likely still poisonous tho she had no time to consume any of it. 🐶🐶

Well I did it.........now that my daughters are home for a bit after university now seems like the best time to pull the trigger on a new puppy. Picked up a 10 week old Female Goldendoodle 'Frankie' last week. So far puppy stage sucks as much as I remember but we have many hands to help out.
There is a reason why god makes puppies cute........

Love them to bits every day.

A few hours ago I had to say goodbye to my little man.

Beautiful dog, sorry for your loss.

I had to walk that path with my dog last year and I know how hard it is. I hope you take comfort in the great memories.

Thanks.

Little bugger has left a hole a mile wide that I'm failing to even fill a little bit with brandy. His sister seems a bit lost so spending time with her helps.

They give so much, ask so little and love unconditionally. If only people were like them.

Beautiful pup and enjoy!

Ours is losing her baby teeth now so holy hell….i threatened to leave her at Erindale park for the coyotes.

But then she looks at me and I’m ’oh Alright…I’ll keep you’

2 poops + 3 pees so far in a month of ownership in the house. 4.5 months old pup.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is amazing how much these 'fur babies' mean to us, and when they are gone the gaping hole they leave behind.

Stella was well known in the neighborhood and when she passed someone dropped this in my mailbox. I still have this taped to one of my kitchen windows today almost 2 years later.

Sorry to hear, man. Have been through it a few times over the past 10 or so years, and it's always awful. They become intertwined so deeply in our lives, losing them leaves a huge hole.

I could tell you all the platitudes that I'm sure you're already telling yourself at the moment (better to have loved and lost, would do it again, etc.), but none seemed to make much difference to me. In the end, they give us so much love, so it's inevitable that it'll hurt like hell when that's taken away.

We've always adopted from shelters, so the only balm for me has been that one passing makes room for us to add another to the house. The two we had three years ago are gone, but we now have two more who my wife spoils rotten (never me, no!) and that helps soften the blow a bit...

Thank you.

In the fridge right now are slices of the leanest ham, some European wieners, a couple of Polish kabanosi and uncooked sausage (that his personal chefs …us…prepare) that I’d bought for him to encourage him to eat well. This isn’t my food. There’s a bottle of CBD oil that we drove through freezing rain to the rez to get as there was the slightest chance it would help him. I would do anything for the little bugger. He ate better than me.

The house is a bit quieter now. The window ledge is empty. His sister is starting to understand he isn’t coming home.

We will never not have a dog. They are a big part of our lives.
