Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Funny. In the ReStore most of those corner units that come in are destined for the scrap bin. Tastes have changed. Brown furniture (antiques) sits quite awhile. Teak stuff and mid century modern moves ok. Kids today seem fine with the flat pack future waste from ikea
I'm looking for a solid oak dining room table to come up cheap at Restore. The top will get cut into slats for the "free" cast iron garden bench ends I picked out of someone's trash, not realizing the wood and stuff to restore the thing was going to cost me $250. I thought of skid lumber but if it's hardwood it doesn't usually come apart easily. Busted knuckles and tools can take a big bite out of the savings.

S-P-F from Home Depot could work if it was old growth. The new stuff is little better than balsa.

Wife wants something like this that she's searching on FBMP....

Any recommendations on how to strap this thing / lay it down on the pickup truck bed...or trailer...so that it doesn't blow the windows out from the vibration?

Ideally it should stand up IMO, but I don't think that's overly possible on the trailer as it'll come down on a hard turn.
Check the weather... remove the doors (unscrew the hinge from the cabinet side), put the doors in the vehicle. Lay it down, protect it and cover it. Strap it if you are worried about it moving around and/or tailgate is open...

Depending on the quality of the cabinet removing the glass and leaving the doors may not be easily done. Better quality ones will not have clips holding the glass, instead there will be trim holding the glass in from the inside, around glass. PITA to remove for any reason other than replacing broken glass.

If you're super duper unlucky it may have glaziers putty on there too.

The cabinet won’t fit into the odyssey with the kids, or the Maverick so will need to be open air transport.

Well hold off as I don’t want to have it damaged by snow / rain on the way (even with tarp) so the search continues.
