Was shopping for some various alcohols for our "Orphans Thanksgiving" party last week.

I've been doing some investigations on Canadian whiskey, read a lot of good things about Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye, but everywhere was out of stock. Saw this on the shelf so I picked it up on a whim:

Not bad. But for the price, was expecting something a lot more full-bodied. A cube of ice really brings out the sweetness.

Maybe my tastebuds are too philistine, but I still want to try that cheaper Alberta Premium Cask, anyone tried it?

Had a chance to drink this tequila last night…absolutely delicious! At $330/bottle, was the best I’ve ever tried.

Just think Scotch, but Mexican. Some of the añejos can get pricey. Don Julio is nice.

It’s probably my perception, I see scotch with some guy in tweed shoveling malt around the floor in a stone cottage and a huge copper still bubbling away like Brigadoon . Not some guy in a sombrero chopping up cactus to supply drunk tourists in Cancun.
